Over 15 years experience using creative illustration, design, and photography talents. Experience includes workings as an Illustrator, Studio Artist, Fine Art Painter, Designer, Photographer, Graphic Designer, and Digital Artist. Very versatile in the visual arts working from fine art painting to very graphic digital design to photography; from free sketch and thumbnails to the technical side of pre-press printing. Deep knowledge and experience in most mediums of fine art as well as computer programs for design.

Illustration
- Paint or draw subject material to produce original artwork or illustrations,
using watercolors, oils, acrylics, tempera, or other paint mediums.
- Highly developed drawing and illustrative abilities in the media of Macintosh,
oil, acrylic, watercolor, graphite and chalk pastels.
Design
- Design or create graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs,
such as packaging, displays, or logos. May use a variety of mediums to
achieve artistic or decorative effects.
- Macintosh design work in QuarkXPress, Macromedia Freehand, Adobe
Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe streamline and Adobe PageMaker.
Smaller programs include Adobe Separator, Ofoto and Fotolook for scanning
purposes, Stuffit Deluxe, Printbar for UPC placement, Norton Utilities and
Color Calibration Software (C.C.S.) for film image setting. Color correction in
Photoshop and Digital file burning to CD using Toast.
- PC experience includes Aldus Freehand, Corel Draw and Adobe PageMaker.
- Output work through basic black & white and color printers,
QMS Colorscript, Tektronix, Rainbow System & Agfa film image setters
(AGFA AccuSet 800 & AGFA ProSet 9400).
- Extensive experience in printing industry from design to Cyrel plate for 1-8
color printing presses.
- Experience in publishing industry from sketch to finish product including
pre-press work and image retouching.
Photography
- Photograph subjects or events, using SLR and digital still cameras, color or
black-and-white film and variety of photographic accessories.
- Extensive experience in black & white processing and print developing
- Creatively manipulate photos using Photoshop to achieve different visual
outcomes.
Art Direction
- Formulate design concepts and presentation approaches, and direct workers
engaged in art work, layout design, and copy writing for visual
communications media.

Studio Artist
Sunrise Greetings/InterArt Distribution (subsidiary of Hallmark Cards), Bloomington, IN (7/1999 - 11/2003)
- Generated several new looks for Sunrise card lines. Created greeting cards
with various mediums, following trends. Effectively interacted and
collaborated with Editorialists and Art Directors. Presented created cards to
peers and management for critique then followed through with any needed
changes. Prepared digital files (after scanning if applicable) including layout
and color correction based on proofs.
